Cypress Neighborhood Guide

Is Bridgeland Cypress TX overrated

Cypress is an unincorporated community in Harris County, Texas, and one of the most desirable suburbs in the Houston metro area. 35 miles northwest of downtown Houston, Cypress is a prosperous community sought after by families for its excellent schools, rich history, and numerous master-planned communities with dreamy amenities.

The Cypress community is a welcoming group of people. Though the community has grown exponentially in recent years, it manages to maintain the small-town charm. There’s plenty of natural beauty in Cypress with lakes and forests nearby, as well as over 600 acres of park space to enjoy — perfect for picnics, family gatherings, and other events.

Families continue to make Cypress their home town — and it might be the place for your family, too.

History Highlights

Once home to native tribes and then German settlers, Cypress was primarily rural farmland until the mid-1980s. Then developers began construction of several master-planned communities, and Cypress has quickly grown into a top-ranked area for quality of life and raising families.
